Media : Burton is the brainchild of Glenys Cooper and Carl Wilson.

They are heroes in their own lifetime.

Co-Producer & Head of Book Sales:

Glenys Cooper

Glen Playing a Tasty Lick

 Glenys's exploits have involved:

Making the entirely logical progression from farmhand to zoo keeper to Canine Beautician.

Being The Ottakar's/Waterstones Manager of Burton.

En-route to Media : Burton, Glenys has accrued O-Levels in Bricklaying and Woodwork.

She also has RSAs in word processing and typing (but did not type this herself - which means that you probably shouldn't bank on her using her O-Levels to build you that house extension either)

She is the President of a local history author group, and as such is the key contact for locally published history books in the Burton area.

She has performed numerous vital roles: 'Bag Lady' - Interviewer - Second Camera - Editing - Assistant Producer - and now, Co-Producer.

As a freelancer she has done the above and has also provided audio commentary on DVDs that you probably own but do not know that she was involved in, for two reasons: 1) She uses a different name 2) She uses a posh voice.

Co-Producer & Station Manager:

 Carl Wilson

Rediscovering America Wasn't Too Tricky

Carl's random adventures have included:

Writing and performing in a very loose adaptation of Dickens' A Christmas Carol.

Writing and presenting a daily film review slot for a northern radio station.

Filming ghost hunts and Ricky Tomlinson (on seperate occasions).

Attending film premieres very early in the morning for magazines.

Filming and editing for production companies.

He has a First Class degree with Honours in English, a Masters with Distinction in Film and English, and is in the final year of his PHD in film theory.

He has also lectured on gangster and television theory in New York.

Next year he will be lecturing at the British Association of American Studies' Annual Conference in a three-piece suit.

He is currently in talks to have his essay on The Sopranos and Genre published in a forthcoming international collection from the University of Kentucky Press.

He also runs this website so please don't be mean about him on the forum page.

 Photography:

 Andrew Campbell

Such a Pro he Looks One Way and Shoots in the Other Direction

Andy is a real man as he shoots with a Nikon F and F4 with 35mm film and dallies about with a Nikon D200.

He needlessly worries about the flash.

He has shot: New York in Summer and a wedding (although refrained from shooting the Bride's interfering Mother).

He is a PhD student in Chemistry. He is a man of steel and brawn.

 Chief Advisor:

 Richard Stone

Richard Stone Sitting on a, er, Stone (Not Called Richard)

Richard is an advisor to Media : Burton because:

Richard likes to keep a hand in as a management consultant but increasingly now indulges a lifelong interest in history and the countryside as a lecturer, writer and broadcaster.

He has several works on business in publication and among his numerous local history credits are:
Moats, Boats, and other notes… (RSE, 1999)
Hidden Derbyshire (Countryside Books, 2001)
A Stone's Throw of Burton (RSE, 2002)
